Transplanting elms into growing box???

Post by griffo84 »

he everyone, just wondering if it ok at this time of year to put my elms into bigger grow boxes as they are now just in small round plastic pots,i want to let them fatten up and grow? And should i root prune them or just loosen up the roots and transplant, and also do i need to tie the tree into the grow box to keep stable? any info would be great thank you! griffo

Hi Griffo84 , go ahead mate , but just tease the roots out in a radial fashion to help with the future Narebri and leave un-trimmed so as to promote better growth .Trimming will only slow things down .Cheers Alpineart
