Corky bark elm cuttings

I am having trouble gettings cuttings from my corky bark elm to strike. My success rate so far is 0 %. I am doing the same as I do for chinese and japanese elm which I have a very good success rate. Does anyone have any guidance for me on this ?

Hi Tony I propagate lots of corky elms from root cuttings at potting time in early spring

I don't apply anythink to the cuttings just put them in some soil and mine strike just keep spraying them with water. ohh i wish i had some Japanese elms where did you get yours from.

I have tried hormone powder or gel and no luck. Not sure if all the wet weather up here is to blame. Actually picked up the japanese elm from ebay and had to drive to toowoomba to get it. Luckily we had a wedding to go to at Withcott so it worked out well :D
