Hinoki Cypress

Post by rudy »

Hi,

I have a Hinoki Cypress that I haven't done much to. Can anyone help me with care advice such as pruning styling etc.

I was thinking of a Literati, I have to do something with it. Bought it years ago at Coles and it was tiny and has grown nicely. It's very healthy and would like to do something with it. Any suggestions.

Hope the pics Ok, just learning to resize.

Regards
Rudy

Firstly, open up your canopy and start thinning it out as Hinokis are notorious for dieback inside. Once that is done then you can start making branch selections.
