So did it work..Trunk bending of Acer Palmatun

Post by bodhidharma »

If any of you remember the thread i posted on bending the trunk of a large Japanese Maple :
This is the tree as it sits now. Future work is the building of a new Apex and, of course , ramification. The trunk has not budged an inch since its bending and the holes can barely be seen already. I have high hopes of this tree in the future and i will post it again in Autumn. I am happy with the way it has turned out. :tu:

Yep, there is a whole thread on it as i was doing it but i tried to link it and could not. :lost: My bending skills are better than my computer skills :reading: Maybe one of the mods or yourself can advise me. :tu: as it would be a good tutorial for newer members.

It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.
