I was looking for a tree like a weeping willow, or something close to the tree thats in the ausbonsai banner second from the right?
Anyone know where I could pick up one of these either around newcastle or sydney? (I'll be there for a while over the next 2 months)
If you want weeping willow, the best thing is to look out for one growing wild & just take a big cutting, they will strike from almost anysize wood up to very large sizes. I have a small contorta that i got from another club member & keep looking at a big willow not far from me, I am resisting taking cuttings as I dont need any more plants & really want to try to avoid exotics as much as possible these days.
As for an Acacia howittii they are fairly easy to find in most nurseries or there is a specialist native nursery between Glendale & Wallsend on Lake Rd, they always have some of the acacia in stock as well as lots of other natives to tempt you.
If you need help finding your way round Newcastle let me know, I am more than happy to help in any way I can.

Ray Nesci at Dural stocks the weeping acacia, I think they start at $10.(raynescibonsai.com).
You could ask if is going to have a stand at the BDO (Bonsai Day Out) at Merrylands and I am sure that he would bring one for you.

Another good weeping plant is Leptospermum madidum which is available in many garden centres and can be ordered from the same store you got your maple from.
and @ Matt, you just reminded me to include a signature so people dont get confused with my silly username lol!! (my last name is walters, I have that username on EVERY site because i'm hopeless with remembering different usernames haha ) my bad!!
and Thank you Ash, those look really pretty too, I might try and order one of those!!
I shot an email to Ray too asking if they'll have a stand there, also asked if I could order some little mames too!!

He's never answered any emails I've sent him (but that might be just because it's me ), but, yes, he is having a stand there. Might be best to call him.
Common name for 2nd from the right is Sticky Wattle. Slow growing, like lots of root space and water. Large ones are rare to buy.
Here's another example.
