Trunk 3.5 cm width at nebari, height 33 cm
Ground grown to thicken trunk and basic styling done. Another growing season should see this develop into a pleasing bonsai.
Sandpaper figs like hot weather and grow best in warm conditions. Judicious pruning is necessary to keep the branches from extending and to compact the foliage and keep the normally large leaves reducing nicely. As the name implies, the leaves feel like sandpaper.
The fig was lifted from the garden 14 February and has a substantial amount of small feeder roots.
Pick up preferable from Sydney Inner West but post could be arranged by wrapping roots in damp newspaper. Postage would be approximately $15.
