Boxwood 'fruit'

Post by ironman »

Hi all,
New here and have questions about Boxwood 'fruit'. :lost:
I've seen info around that the fruit should be removed-that's the hard, ball-shaped thingy which appears in the spring.
Should the whole pod be removed, too or just the ball?
Thanks...ironman

The removal of fruit would depend on the stage your tree is at. Fruit flowers always come at the expense of foliage so if your tree is still developing then you should remove them. I would take off the whole pod.
