This tree is a smaller sibling of the large twin trunk ficus also entered in this category. Both were started as part of a club fig development project in 1993 by placing 2 seedlings together in a pot. This smaller tree was grown in a 10 cm plastic pot to control its size until it was transferred to this bonsai pot in 2000. A large root crossing the front of the tree was removed in 2006 to leave the tree as it is today.
