Some of my trees are so much overgrown and I want to reduce some of the branches to bare old wood. It's really scarry though............
Just want to make sure whether the species will readily shoot from bare old wood:

Yes, spring would be best time...
2. Camellia
Yes, Spring or late summer as the flower buds are forming.
3. Malus
Yes, before bud break in spring
4. Trident Maples
Yes, before bud break in spring
5. Black Pines
Yes & no... best to search on them specifically as alot of it is driven by technique & timing.
6. Junipers
Some will but again like the black pines I would do some research before you did anything
