A peek at some Shohin from the UK
Saw this on the IBC and am speechless. A picture is certainly worth a thousand words.

The Broom style Zelkova in this picture is world class and is as good as I have seen.

Further into the thread there is mention of it being a Japanese tree, a number of IBC'ers seemed to have a problem with it not being from the UK or in the "UK style", and that the owner ONLY maintains it?
What are your thoughts?
I think it is one of the best trees that I have ever seen, and I'd love to 'maintain' it!

edit: It was actually another thread discussing the same trees.

Another show of small trees here

I believe this thread By Morten Albek discusses Movement in relation to the displays in the first thread as well.

Yes Scott wish we could get hold of some Japanese trees

It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

I think what people often overlook is that it takes a huge amound of skill, time and knowledge to maintain trees at this high level.Scott Roxburgh wrote:100% agree.Mojo Moyogi wrote:The Broom style Zelkova in this picture is world class and is as good as I have seen.

Wow! Thank you SO much for this share! MY mouth was dropping open at some of the trees, and even moreso at the design and setup of each display design in itself.
I haven't saved any of the photos to my computer for later inspiration at all. Nope. Definitely not.

Hmmm..it would seem Australia still has a ways to go to catch up to the quality displayed here. Well, better get back to it and start making it happen.
