Did anyone else see these ficus elastica roots made into bridges in northern India.
They were on the documentary Human planet.Amazing!!

Where did you find the pics???? I saw the doco & went hunting the net but had no luck.
It was amazing alright... and damn smart, with the torrential rains during wet season any other bridge would get washed away or eventually rot/rust away. These just get stronger & stronger as they age.

I googled Human planet/fig tree/ bridge and bingo !
