Iv be doing bonsai for 4 months now and iv been wondering What do I do with my evergreen a deciduous bonsais during the winter period. I live in Vic so it cold as and and always raining do I put them in an un heated shelte(shed) or just let em tough it out, need help ASAP.
Leave it outside and in the weather. If you get rain for more than a few days, put under cover to dry out as they will get waterlogged.
We are lucky in OZ as we do have the temps in europe or the US to worry about. Only our tropical trees need protection from freezeing or frosts, but only you guys down south

Hey Mr Miagi, Knowing that Ballaraat can be bitter in winter, what species of tree are you talking about?
Cheers,
