Hi all

As some people know i have been unwell for some years now, and this has affected my work, family, lifestyle, friends etc.
Things have been up and down, but seem to be slowly improving.
Illness has taken its toll though and i will never be as fully able (health, endurence, energy) as i was.

I have decided to put pen to paper (so to speak) and write down some of my experiences, and things i have learnt.

Bonsai during these past years has kept me going, given me much time of reflection, and has helped me to increase my capabilities.
In many ways Bonsai is also a metaphor for my experiences of illness over the last few years.
I've created a blog online for this to happen and have posted the first post this week. My aim is to update it weekly as i am able.

Very emotive thoughts you've put into your blog, its great you got so much fulfillment from your work and however difficult the decision was to leave, keep in mind who you'll be surrounded by throughout the rest of your life. Hopefully you'll get much fulfillment from Bonsai and can fill the work void with family, friends and creating beautiful potted trees. Keep posting more pictures of your Bonsai work too, you have some beautiful specimens there.

Just goes to show the range of people from all different walks of life who are all united here, practising or even just enjoying the art of Bonsai!
