[FILLED] one Melbourne person is in luck!!!

Post by bodhidharma »

FREE TO GOOD HOME..ONE PETER ADAMS SATURDAY WORKSHOP PLACE..VALUE 175.00.
Due to personal reasons i now cannot attend the Saturday workshop with Peter Adams and i am looking for a person to attend in my place. The placement is bought and paid for and has been approved by Chris Sirre (the host) I was very much looking forward to the day. If you feel that you can benefit from the day you can p.m me. I will post the person i select who will attend. If you do not think you have a tree that you can take i can also help you there. That will not be free ( but could help cover some of my loss)
Regards to all,
Bodhi.

I cannot believe this is still available. This is an opportunity for some one who thinks they have the ability to learn. Which is something we should all do for as long as we can.

Bohdi I am sorry for your loss, but also that I am too far away to take up this offer.

hi Bodhi,

mate this is an extremely generous offer!! I agree, I cant beleive that noone has taken you up on it! I would be there in a heart beat if I could!!! I reckon one of the newer people to bonsai should really try and take you up on this offer, and to be able to sell them some good stock for the workshop is an absolute plus too!!!

I have seen some of Bodhi's stocks and it is of high quality! some of his elms are awesome.

to all those people newer to bonsai, I really recommend you take Bodhi up on this offer, this sort of thing doesnt happen often!

your are to kind bodhi!

You are a very nice and thoughtful man Bodhi for giving back to the bonsai community as you do.

I agree very much with Ash on this

Also any one in Melb or Surrounds not already going would be mad to miss this majic opportunity!
I have done a workshop with Peter last visit which was posted here, viewtopic.php?f=25&t=1550&hilit=peter+adams+workshop and am doing another with him Next month.
On Tuesday night, he Dropped in at the School to visit :D

While there he wandred around an looked at everyones trees to see what was happening. I had all my Maples there to Repot and he liked the look and potential of one of them in particular.
He did one of his quick sketches and we bhad a discussion about it and where to go with it
The tree suffered a Branch die off last year, and required a rethink as to its direction. Peter agreed and offered some great advice too along with a sketch here

The reason it was still up was because i had to make a tough decision from the A.B community who P.M,ed me their wish to take up the offer. There was only one position but i wish i could accommodate all of them. I have given the position to Gerard who expressed his desire to take one of my trees and one of his to work on. I have had a bit to do with Gerard and his wife Leanne and i am content he will enjoy and use the knowledge to its fullest. So, see you over the weekend Gerard and we will have that beer :tu:

Gerard is a worthy recipient of this experience. Good to know that a tree from each camp is going for the Peter Adams touch.

Thanks everone for your kind words and especially to Bodhi for his generosity. :crikey: I am a little overwhelmed, humbled to be chosen and very excited.
The pressure is certainly on, I must now (with Peters guidance ) produce the goods.
I also feel a huge obligation to this forum I promise....lots of pictures and reports.
See you Sunday Bodhi
