Species: Callistemon Nyallingensis

Current Height: I was in a hurry and didn't measure it, will update

Where from: Sale at the Yarralumla Nursery

Cost: $6

I have never really worked with an Australian Native before and I'm not sure what this species can do in a short amount of time but we will see how it goes.

I have potted it up into a slightly bigger plastic pot, taking the opportunity to change the planting angle a bit and sort out some of the roots at the same time. It has also received a bit of a haircut

It seems to have recovered from my re-potting work and is now starting to push new growth.

Any advice as to the best time to do some heavy pruning?

Now should be a pretty good time.

Thanks, I assume I need to leave some green and not go back to bare wood?

My last trim was not aggressive enough and as a result more has had to come off.
