Sorry for the late notice, but in case anyone is interested, the Central coast bonsai society is having its annual auction TONIGHT!!!!!!
October Meeting/Auction Night – Ok it’s time for a fun night and a chance to either sell a tree or buy a new one for your collection. Last year we had a big night and it was a full on. This year we are taking some steps to have some more control and structure to the night.
How it will run this year;
1) Registration for auction will be from 7pm till 7.25pm only we need to have every item listed on a sheet and numbered with a label, afterwards you miss out.
2) There is a limit of 5 items per person but if you did have more items you could possibly sell them in a package of say 3 items for eg price of $40. Be mindful we want to be fair to all members and reasonable that we want to sell them for a fair price.
3) The buyers will be given a number so if you buy a tree we can mark bought by Mark – No.6 for $30. This is to help us the end of the night with ownership and payments etc.
4) Please if you wish to buy trees bring some cash so you can pay on the night and take the trees home, also bring some smaller change to help Karen out.
5) This is to be an entertaining night with Eddie Kain our special guest Auctioneer now we all now he will fetch a good price and move fairly quickly so be ready and alert.
6) Also bring a pad and write down the numbers of items you buy also keep a tab of what you are spending, last year a couple of items were taken by the incorrect buyers, I don’t want people to get confused and argue of a petty thing like that.
I'll be there, come and join us for a fun night.
This local group was formed in September 1997 and the membership has been growing ever since. Our members cover all age groups and consist of beginners, advanced and experienced Bonsai artists.
Monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month (except January) at the Gosford City Arts Centre, 36 Webb Street, East Gosford, which is adjacent to the Japanese Gardens.
Meetings start at 7:30 pm and run until 10 pm. Meetings may have a guest speaker/demonstrator, or be a forum discussion or workshop. We have a short break for supper where tea, coffee and biscuits are provided along with an opportunity to chat to others members.

There's a choice.....nothing's gained from the path we know.
