Yamadori Shohin English Elm

A year or two ago I dug a few small English elms that were in a sheep paddock and had been eaten and trampled by the sheep. The activity by the sheep had given these small trees some unique character. This is one of those trees. Once home I developed some foliage, slipped it into a pot I made at pottery school and I think it has started a journey toward becoming a bonsai.

Pre-foliage look

Was this the culprit?

OK, I was just joking!
