YEW – Taxus Baccata

I have a small Yew growing in my yard and just for fun I took a cutting from it. After a couple of years it is growing quite well and this year it had fruit for the first time. I am assuming that the conditions are good for the growth and so I am pleased.

Although it is not by any means suitable for bonsai yet, I thought I would none-the-less post a couple of photos of the seed pods and the tree itself. It is growing with a trident maple as most stock plants in my yard are, and that’s because I have a reasonably mature trident growing and the seeds go everywhere.
