did you use a wood hardener on the stump you grew them on?
I think the trees are in fantastic porportion. very well done! I like it a lot. the other thing is if you ever got the feeling that you wanted to seperate the group ( but I dont see why you would) the three trees themselves would make fantastic little single trees

The first two inches chicken manure and the rest pure diatomite.
I dont mean to sound ignorant here, but you say the first 2 inches of chicken manure on the bottom of the pot, followed by pure diatomite. I just want to get this right, because ill be setting up something similar tomorrow. That being the case, it would take a while for the roots to grow down far enough to obtain nutrients from the chicken manure?

That is correct Sidd,
I think that i may have sprinkled a handful of chiken manure on the top as well, but the roots found their way very quickly.
Thanks Jamie,
These guys will not come off the stump without serious root pruning.
The middle tree was reduced by about 12cm, there were two trunks, I removed the one at the rear because it was very straight and if I removed the front trunk there would be a big wound on the front of the very straight taller trunk.
Q: Why are we all here?
A: Because we are not all there.
I figured it would need some heavy pruning if you were ever to remove them, but like I said I cant see why you would want to. if you did though you could cut hard back to the main roots near the trunk and treated it like a big cutting. 99.999999999% chance you would have a new fibrous root system within a growing season.
nice either way though! love it

It has been a busy afternoon, I set up two lots of ficus fast grows. I followed Gerard's advice in this thread and also applied some of the tips from the Fast grow ficus thread by Steven.
Ill update these pics in 12 months and 24 months
