With only one month to go until Registrations close for the AABC Convention in Melbourne I thought a timely reminder to those who haven't registered yet is in order as well as given those who have registered a few exciting little details.
First our website http://www.bonsainorthwest.com.au has all the registration details on how to Register and registration closes on 1 May. The Convention is on between the 18 - 21 May. The International demonstrator will be Boon Manakitivipart from the USA. Can't wait to see him in action and he will make up most of the weekend events. Boon made a short video inviting us to come along: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGgAivVCKJY
Monday will see workshops being conducted by Boon and Don Deluca. We've had a few people pull out and there are still spots available in both the morning and afternoon workshop. This is an awesome opportunity if you want to have your trees worked on by either of these artists.
If you are coming along then I can tell you that the sales area is stocked with some great sellers. We have Ausbonsai's own shibui selling his wonderful stock, Pat Kennedy with his beautiful hand made pots, Bruce Arguet with his bonsai stands, Frank Hocking with his endless supply of bonsai magazines, Judy with her late dads (Hong Lins) magnificent penjing and bonsai which is incrediblly exciting to those who haven't seen his trees before, and a number of other nureseries. Get in early and if you are a registrant at the convention you will have first access to the sales area before the general public has access over the weekend.
All I can say about our exhibition area is that each tree has been hand picked to be exhibited.

Boon has never demonstrated to Australia so this is a wonderful opportunity to see him in action. We have some great stock for him to choose from also. We are super excited.
Hope to see as many of you there.
David
