2 years ago for the AABC at Sydney by Illawarra we got some Ausbonsai stickers, to stick on the rego card and identify Ausbonsai members. Will there be any stickers this year????

Re: So.ooooooooo............?
Cool-no pun intended...
I heard of this method or technique being used in warmer climates for shows. Apparently, the tree has to be induced over a period of 4 to 6 weeks so not to stress the tree out much and in bigger commercial chillers not small home fridges, not sure if that would make any differences?. If, micro climates in this situation is taken into account I would assume that it would render a different result i.e large commercial fridge versus small home fridge...
Also, I was told restricting water whilst using this technique will change photosynthesis somewhat...restricting on the verge of dryness. Pushing the tree to its limit ! Of course, you would have to know the tree's growth cycles, habits, etc..
Can't wait to view all these quality trees this country has produced

Re: So.ooooooooo............?
Hi Pup, I'm in Cranbourne (20 mins from Mornington) so I might see you there. I plan to get there on Tuesday. I'm not happy though, I'm working Wed-Sunday so the convention is out.Pup wrote:Damian Bee wrote:Next week is national convention in Melbourne town. Who is going? and who is excited?
Mr and Mrs Pup are going, we set off tomorrow for Mornington Peninsular Bonsai Society. For some workshops Tuesday, Demonstration Wednesday evening then of too Rydges on Thursday.
Mrs Pup has her case packed ready, and is giving me the hurry up about mine. I have packed the camera at least, well it is sitting behind me in the backpack.
See you all who are going cheers Pup![]()

I'll be the guy wondering around who has no idea what he's doing
