hi bb; turn table dunno it works though. took 2 of us 1.5 hrs to wrap the raffia. all the branch junctions have been wrapped into the trunk wrap. now i have just finished wrapping all the branch bases. this way we dont have branches pulling away when we're bending, twisting and carrying on now the spines have got to go on.
tuesday i finally got round to a mates place and got the bending bars out, unfortunately it happened so fast i didnt get a photo of the bar in position. the trunk compression worked a treat glad i didnt cut to shohin. sorry about the poor quality photo. i will let it rest a while and then do some more tweaking. the idea now is to let the branches im gonna take off fatten to make some substantial jin and shari down the trunk. what you guys think now?

Thought I would test my virt skills and remove a bit of branching. Not sure whether this would be best for the tree, hard to tell where the branches are coming from.

Wow, Ant.... That came up great!! Jamie and I have been talking about this type of thing lately.. Love it!!
I, too, would appreciate an update when you get the chance
it is still strapped up at this point. trying to leave it on as long as possible. the tree is picking up momentum again so i'd like to wire some branching while the raffia's still on. thanks fellas for your interest.

Crikey mate, she's looking very healthy!!
I hope you're going to be putting plenty of jinn and shari on this one!
How long do you think you'll need to keep it wrapped for?

hey nath; the jin and shari are coming. that is the beauty of juniper. with out deadwood its any tree imo. again that is why i grow parts for deadwood. being a thicker trunk it will have plenty of spring in it so the longer the better. i'd like to hold out till winter and that will be a year but the tree is now growing stong so will have to watch out for the bite.
WOW Antonio!!! Amazing tree! the compression!!!! the movement!!!! the size!!!! i strive in bonsai to have trees like this to work on!!! thanks for sharing man!!
i have a stock squamata im about to work on... ill create a progression series of it soon. any help and advice you have would be great.
