the latest azalea haul

Post by hugh grant »

just dug up a few azaleas from the back yard the last few weeks, there are 5 all together with one still in the ground waiting to be removed when i get time to. they are ranging from 15 yrs to 30yrs old.

the one in the ground is the biggest with the best base so im eager to get him up into a pot

yes i was really surprised by them when i dug them because before i cut them back they were just covered in suckers from the base so i didnt know what was underneath.
not sure what the variety's are but i know that pic 1 and 4 are pink and pic 3 is white but i cant remember if 2 is white or pink, ill have to wait and see :lost:

theres nothing like a collected tree :tu: the vast majority of collection is quickly becoming all collected trees now. probably only a third of my collection is trees i have bought or received.

here is the last one i dug, probably the best one of the lot complete with hollows and a great nebari. its roughly about 10 inches across at the base and guessed to about 30 yrs old.
