drooping leaves after repot

Post by hugh grant »

Hi
i repotted these privets in may/june and now as we are coming out of winter there leaves have drooped. ive never had this problem with my trees before after repotting. so i was wondering if anyone had any answers???
Could it just be shock from root work and the cold of winter?
What should i be doing to bring them back?

Anyway, let me know what you think

G'day Hugh

If it was from the repot they would most likely have shown signs earlier than this, especially with Privet. I notice the pot is small so may just be a little stressed from dryness as Ant has said. The newer small leaves look ok, so I would just remove most of the larger ones anyway and they should power on now winter weather is almost gone.

Hey Hugh,
I think Antonio has hit the nail on the head, with the recent windy weather things dry out really quickly. Being privet it should pick up soon.

it cant be from a lack of water as ive never let them dry out. They have looked like this for about 2-3 weeks which is why it has stumped me as to why they are reacting like this :lost: . 2 other privets i reoptted at the same time into the same medium with relatively the same amount of root work have not shown any signs of shock.

thanks for the input guys
