That'd be a great idea Tony, but that root does not want to move at all, so it's just gonna have to go all together

Ah yes, good point. I'm not happy with it at all, but I think I'll wait a little bit before removing that one as well. I may just wait to remove it when I repot next. Right now I'm considering bringing it indoors....
The new setup is all ready for this guy, I'm just running tests now to see where the humidity/heat level is at in the setup. If everything is where I want it to be, I'll move the guy into it.

Please please please don't turn your lovely ficus into a pine tree!!!! That last virt done by your friend was LOADs better IMHO! It is such a lovely trunk, it is just begging to be look like a ficus and not like a pine! I'm guilty of it too, but why do we all turn all our trees into pine and juniper wannabe's?

That's about what we get here through summer, so sounds good to me. Depends on if you want to keep it on summer conditions or give it some winter. What is the temp you keep it at inside?
