Thanks Steven
How did you get in when No one else was inside You pay the boss?
For those that have not seen them, I have posted my Pictures in this thread viewtopic.php?f=3&t=14244&start=15
The cafe is open and there is to be a restaurant by the end of the month.
There is to be a major dinner this week for the business community and we will get to show off the collection to a very influential crowd of people and the new lights as well.

Sorry I wasn't able to get down for the opening. I had sort of penciled it into my Diary, but a lot of other stuff has gotten in the way. I will get down one day - and one day soon I hope. Congratulations to everyone involved the collection and surrounds look to be a credit to you all.
Graeme I will forever defend your right
to disagree with my opinion.
The old collection had approx 32 trees on display whereas yesterday we had 85; there is a huge range of trees including many from a recent donation from Tasmania.
I believe we now have the best trident maple in Australia on display; plus a huon pine and a very interesting Eucalypt; eucalyptus vernicosa or Varnished eucalypt. It has the tiniest leaf of all the Eucalypts and grows at altitude in tasmania only at 700 to 1,350 mtrs.
Congratulations Grant and everyone involved. What an amazing venue. The trees are inspiring.i can't wait to return and spend time there.
My total admiration Craig
Some of the trees are much larger in life than photos i have seen. A Brilliant display with some fine trees. A particular Banksia Serrata Blew my mind The setup is amazing as well and has been thought out very well indeed. I encourage everyone able to visit to do so, the location of the site is impressive also.
One thing I forgot to mention was not just the quality of the trees but the condition was also EXCELLENT. Great work to all that are working on and caring for the trees, I will be back to get some much needed tips and advice
It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.
Truly an inspirational weekend and glad I made it. This is the best thing to happen to Bonsai in this country and will give our trees and artists fantastic exposure on the world stage.
An absolute credit to all involved with this project. Grant can hold his head very high at all that has been achieved and certainly deserves his break. To all the volunteers a huge congratulations for your dedication and involvement. Things can only get better.
Thanks for posting more pics Grant - we can't wait to come and see the display. Here are a couple of photographs of Lyn's maple taken in seasons past. I am so glad it is on display in the collection, it is, like so many others there, a magnificent tree.
