Azalean heavy design pruning time?

The scar should heal fine Andrew. They heal quick here and you should not have any problems. I would say the other one was not treated correctly when first cut. If you make a nice clean cut level with the trunk around the edges and seal it straight away with cut paste it should heal nicely. You may be able to recut the offending scar and treat it the same way to heal if as well.
