Like most of these stores, there are lots of gardens around, and in them I noticed lots of self sown Chinese elms that havd been cut back many times over the years and others that were much newer versions.
I could not get to talk to the manager, but driving past the other day noticed it was all shut up and the driveway locked up, but there is still walk way access to the gardens.
I visited yesterday (before the bulldozers arrive presumably), and Cleaned out the garden of a few of the weeds

Also found 2 smallish water gums 1/2 hanging out of the hillside, so rescued them too

How many times have we seen trees when its too late?
Do not know how they will all go, but expect the elms to do well, and the gums so long as they are kept damp I reckon should be OK.
