So I pruned it back in early march . That was a mistake because it hasn't done any thing since even with the warmer than usual Autumn . Anyway winter is here , so I took it out of the glass house for a bit of a snow shot .

Thanks Ken . The photo was actually quite difficult to take , what you don't see is the wind . It got quite gusty and cccold .
Hi Boics . Where I am (20 kms from Kosi about 1200m ) we got about 20cm . Up the hill easily would have doubled that . Snowed all day and it's still coming .

This one isn't going to make the grade . I pruned it back quite heavily after the February update hoping for some growth in autumn which didn't happen . While it has started to grow now it looks more stick than anything . I like the direction it's heading and this summer I hope to make better progress .

Hi xtolord . This summer I'm going to let the apex sacrifice branch grow to try and fix the apex . I like the movement in the trunk but at the moment the tree kinda looks like a bent sharp pencil . The second branch on the left needs sorting out as well , what you can't see in the photo is it leaves the trunk at a weird angle .
There is quite a few different species of Leptospermum , I'm still not sure which this one is . They are a great tree to grow if you can get hold of some seed .

Thanks BB are you growing any Leptospermum ? Around here (snowy mountains) most leptospermum are understory plants so they grow well in shady conditions .

Just L. Petersonii. I tried my hand at L. scoparium, ...but my hand killed them, so unless my feet can do a better job, I'll just stick to Petersonii
I find they respond very well where I am and tolerate shade well. I think Scoparium just doesn't tolerate being cut back hard
