Lego Bonsai - The art of Lego

This is what happens when we combined our passion of Lego with bonsai, and a lot of time and patience. At least you don't have to water them, and can display them inside.


The American Redwood is big, almost a metre tall. Took a long time to design this one. The Chinese Elm is cute, because if you squint your eyes and look at the bottom right, you can see lego 'mushrooms', designed by using specific lego pieces.


The Japanese White Pine is one of my favourites.


A Eucalypt and a recently defoliated Fig tree.


A weeping willow, and a small wattle. The wattle is cute, because of its tiny size. It meets the criteria for shohin.

Like all artists, we actually sell our work though. We love what we do, but it takes months to design one. We usually sell the instructions and parts list for $10

We have had many wonderful customers over the years, and it is always lovely to hear about how much they or their family love the display.

It can be very difficult designing in lego, to try and replicate such tiny movements and traits.

Mate, that was tongue in cheek! I think we're all a bit blown away at the accomplishment. It's one of those queerly artistic things, live it!
