Small Leaf Qld Ficus twin trunk advice

Bonjour All,

I have acquired this twin trunk small leaf Qld last year and I am struggling with the design. I have potted it in a large growing pot for the time being, as it is just the start of this tree. After a lot of pondering (and procrastination) I am have opted for this design, but I am far for being sold on it. I guess time and growth will tell the tale, but i also imagine that the trunks will fuse in the future..? I am thinking of developing the tree with a low round canopy, using each trunk for one side, a little like a Yin/Yang sign.
Please any comment/advice is more than welcome...,

That really thick branch you have coming at right angles to the trunk doesn't look so good, as it is too thick for the trunk. It is hard to see what is happening in there, but I'd probably develop the trunk more, then concentrate on branches later. Pick a leader and start from there, but I don't have much experience with figs.

You should ask this guy for his advice, he's clearly had a bit of experience with this variety.

I agree indeed with the big left branch, which used to be the trunk. I was hoping the new leader would develop in a few years and balance this "equation". I will try to get better pictures soon too.

I'd start by picking a front where the two trunks don't cross in front of each other.
I agree the big thick branch should go, then feed feed feed and let it give you options.
