Juni first style. Ideas?

Hi Guys.
It has been quite some time since my last post here so I though I would get some Ideas from you all for the direction on this Juni.
I have been basically trimming and feeding for the last 2 years an feel its time to move this one along a bit.

Hey Damian,

Do you have a style in mind for the tree already?

I like pic 3 for the front, it shows quite a bit more of the trunk.

Hi Jarad
the last pic is my virt. thinking about removing the foliage at the bottom and using the branches for Jin.
Open to suggestion though.

I'm pretty new at this bonsai thing (about 6 months), so I am by no means a pro, but I would thin it out a bit.

You're also quite a bit more experienced than I am.

I agree with Jarad, I think pic #3 (trunk.jpg) makes for an impressive front, pretty classic, this would be my choice from the photos you posted (it's conservative though). I think your idea with turning the whole thing 90deg is pretty dramatic on the other hand and could result in something pretty unique. In any case, it looks like a nice little tree and should make a great bonsai whatever you decide.

For some reason all I'm seeing in your vert is a red coloured in patch to the left side of the trunk.

I have to join the pic 3 bandwagon. That would be a cracker of a front, for the reason that I feel the root system and the way it spreads doesn't support your proposal. But it is your tree, good luck with whatever you choose.

lol. I didn't think of it like that. He means, he intends to turn the tree 90 degrees sideways, and have it coming up and down out of the pot.

Your pic was fine Damian, I just downloaded it and rotated it back 90 degrees (because that's how I thought it was supposed to be

Something like this? It's very rough, but you have alot of length that you could try bending.

So from the 90 degree bend would you be going for an informal upright, literati or windswept?

Windswept could work quite well as the foliage is quite dense on the left side of the tree.
