hi guys and girls. Was wondering what direction i should take with this little tree. Ive dug it out the neighbors yard and it has recovered well. Just need to know how to style it. Wire it and if i should go for a broom style or informal upright. Has a 1mm trunk and is about to go into hibernation. just kiddin. Uploaded the photo on the off chance this website is running in 30 years and i can see where it started From. Seriously though it is on 1 mm and about 3 months old. Fingers crossed it outlives me will be good to look back in 30

A stick in a pot is better than no stick at all. Remember even the best bonsai started as a stick.
Judging by the leaf I would say a Robina or gleditsia but at that age its very hard to tell! Could even be an Acacia as their immature leaf is bipinnate also
Getting back to the tree, I think the skillfully place accent stones set the setting off nicely too
The patina on the pot is just lovely and shows that it is of true quality and age, but for me is a little on the deep side to make a nice show quality setting.
I really is coming along nicely but im not sure the two extra days growth would be very noticeable in an updated photo. Might post one next week then you will see how far its come along
