Split in small Blaauw Juniper

@tgward if u did this though it would be dangerously low on foliage mass and would literally crawl along for several years gaining strength. There's little here anyway to style .... yet.

if it were left in that pot as is I would agree--slip it into a decent grow pot or in the ground in full sun, plenty food and water (cuppla days)

But to get it strong and give yourself lots of styling options it needs mass. From the pic it's obviously not vigourous - there are no runners. Pruning anything off this will only slow it down. Take cuttings or air layers AFTER you have got it to where you want it will be the fastest route to a "first styled" tree.

Sounds like a plan, I have a potential place to ground plant it and build some size.

I have wrapped up the split and ground planted it, if it doesn't heal up so be it, looking forward to the extra growth either way.
