Newcastle Bonsai 2015 show.
Invitation to all for our annual show. Not to be missed.
Demonstrations every day and will be headed by Kahnh Linh who will be with us on the Sat. Others include Ashley Brown and Clinton Neski.
Our club sales area this year will be full of large Yamadori and mature established trees that have been in training for many years. All at unbelieable prices that you will not see anywhere else so come and have a look to boost your collections. Something for everyone at all levels.
Mudlark pottery will be with us again and also Carol Felton with her art works.
Promises to be a great weekend.
Easy undercover parking with this great venue and just $2 entry.
See below for all the show info.
Hope to see you there.

Re: Newcastle Bonsai 2015 show.
Looking forward to it. I've told my wife not to plan anything for that weekend.
Hopefully I can convince the kids to come.

Hey everyone,
I was lucky enough to make it yesterday and was super impressed with the quality on display. It was nice to meet and chat with a few of you and put faces to names[SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES] I also spent way too much money via the sales area, the members trees and those from bonsai world were just too good(I'll throw pics up of my spoils in a seperate thread)!

The sales table was unbelievable cheap prices for the quality. The display trees are fantastic. The kids came away with a free styled starter each in a bonsai pot. Done by a a member starter provided by Ray Nesci. Their is also some great Japanese art pieces and Mudlark pottery. My children and I loved it. Even the wife enjoyed it.

Keen to see how you go with your new stock mate. Make sure to pop down one day and have a look at the nursery!lukeaaustin wrote:Hey everyone,

Re: Newcastle Bonsai 2015 show.
Wow, what an awesome show that was!
Fantastic display areas for the exhibition trees too. My personal favourite and my vote was number 25 - Melalueca nodosa.
I couldn't resist, and purchased a very beautiful spruce for $120 What a bargain! I was sad to hear it was from a deceased collection. I'll have to post a picture up in the near future.
Does anyone know the name of the bonsai grower who passed away and whose collection was being sold? I understand it was a massive collection up for sale. I'd like to know his name so in future I will know who styled the beautiful tree I purchased. I really admired it and will leave it styled the way he intended, which looks quite natural and very lovely too. He obviously was very skilled!
The following posts are pics of all the trees that were on exhibition (yes, that is my son Bowie who continuously photo bombed the pictures) :
