If there are any other members of the school interested to come along and have a look, the second last week of every term is Display night and all School members are welcome to come along at about 8:30 for the Display and Critique.

Yeah I must have skimmed it before, it looks really good. Thanks Ken I would have loved to have seen it.

Took this little Mel to School tonight for our first night back and gave it a little trim up.

I repotted in Mid spring and tilted a little to the left to bring the upper trunk more upright..
The tree reminds me of many of the Eucalypts I see everyday around my home and on the way to work out at Richmond. Nice sparse branching and foliage and slender trunk

What a neat little tree!

I can see this guy in a small group planting growing away from a larger tree chasing light. Then reaching for the sky when it makes it past the foliage of the bigger tree.

I'm going to love seeing this tree develop over the years. Awesome stuff Ken.

I'm not a fan of that pot with that tree, but I love the tree.

EDIT - I can't tell how tall it is, but if it is at the maximum height for 'shohin', so you can call it 'shohin', then probably best to do that angle yes.
However if it was mine, I prefer the look of the previous lean and would grow it beyond the 'shohin' restriction, then grow the upper crown higher and more in line with the centre.

I just don't really know the limitations on 'shohin' height and so forth. And its not mine, so I'm going to stop talking.

Shohin is anything less than 300 mm from the top of the pot
It is currently just over 250 mm tall.

I like the proportions now and if any taller will look too skinny to me.
It looks to me like many tree around here so happy with that. Re the posting angle, the crown looked funny as it was and next report I might try something midway between the 2
