tree stock from bunnings/waldecks

Well.... I have purchased 2 things from Bunnings. First was a blueberry bush because I wanted to actually grow a blueberry bush for my son, but I think it laid itself to rest because not enough sun. However, I also purchased 7 Cedrus Deodora trees, that were discounted from $20 to $7 each as they were overgrown in the pot and not wanted. The staff member said.... buddy.... before you buy this, just so you know, they grow to like 30 meters or something, are you sure you want these? Yep, quite sure. They were an absolute bargain, 1.5cm - 2cm thick trunk, and just gave them all instant head chops and have left them to grow, which they are doing quite well. Haven't repotted them yet, so don't know what the root system looks like yet, but great soil was used, well draining and they are doing well since I purchased many months ago. I would definately buy more stock if they have discounted conifers or natives in their bargain bins. You just have to be careful with bargain bins, as too often they are there because the roots are rotten or have dried out, and are already dead.

Hi all, newbie here

While at Bunnings today (Mothers day) with dear old mum,
we picked up two "Bonsai" plants for $10 each. I forget to ask what species the plants
were. Can anyone tell me the name of the species (in the photo) please?

That looks like a pomegranate to me

I agree with the pomegranate ID.
Can be a bit slow to grow but usually pretty hardy.
