Post your favorite pot
I have a very big soft spot for pots. I have way more pots than I do trees and I figure I am not alone in this regard. I though it might be nice to share a few of everyone's favorites.
I have boxes and boxes of pots at home so it's hard to choose a favorite but this little pot is certainly up there.
It's a custom made ikkou pot made from purple clay that is no longer available. It has some nice patina and is an interesting shape.
It was a pot I bought during my first stay studying at Taishoen which makes for a nice memento of what was really a life changing bonsai event in my life.
I have many pots that are fancier but I really enjoy this one.
What pot is one of your favorites?

Re: Post your favorite pot
I already uploaded some photos of this a month ago, but my favourite would have to be my Haruyosi. Just like you Jow, it's also a momento of my first study trip to Japan.
Here's another favourite that I saw in Japan, a Gekkou pot that I don't own (yet). If I see anything like it, I'll definitely have to add it to my collection.

My favourite pot is the one made by Pat Kennedy in this picture of his sales table many years ago:

Re: Post your favorite pot
A Chinese unstamped pot which I found advertised in a magazine for a bargain due to the hairline crack in one of its corners. Despite the crack, it still rings like a bell indicating that it's still structurally sound. Although I'm yet to find a use for it, I'm planning on putting a kusamono accent planting into it this year

Re: Post your favorite pot
This is my favourite pot. It has a great memory associated with it.. It was given to me by the late Brian Sampson, whom I used to spend a lot of weekends with wiring and working on his collection. I only recently found out about his passing after being out of bonsai for several years and unfortunately did not get the chance to get a tree as a memory from his collection. This pot is a prized possession and always remains in my display cabinet. It was offered at an auction of Northwest Bonsai about 8 years ago, but the highest bid was $250 so Brian got annoyed and pulled it from the auction and walked straight up to me after the auction and said "I want you to have this as I know you will value it like I have" It remains as such..I don't know much about the pot, but if I recall he got it when he was in japan.. I am not sure, I have never researched the stamp, To my knowledge it is a lotus burnished pot from Mr.HIRATA Atsumi (Trade name: Bigei). Im not sure what it is really worth money wise, but it is very valuable to me because of my time with Brian.. RIP I will never forget your friendship.
