Hi All .
Have finally posted a few of my collected Laevigatums. The first three were collected over a year ago and are starting to power on. Curly is a new recruit and seems to be holding out OK.
The big Windswept style is a year old but had a spray of Triforine as there was a little Myrtle Rust about. It sulked for a long time but it is just pushing out new growth in the last week. Cheers John

Hi All, thanks for the feedback. I hope I can do them proud. Love that link Boics ,I am a great fan of movement in my trees.
Sno, they all had good low growth. I cut a few bigger branches at collection time and noticed that they pushed out a few buds at the stubs up to about 15mm thick. Curly
I think the biggest key to successful collecting is to go after a heavy rain. I know easier said then done. Sometimes I carry a lot of water and try and soak root ball .I collect at all times of the year and my success rates are the same. In fact the top little tree was collected in the middle of Winter. I use a coarse mix of mostly Diatomite plus Pine Bark and Gravel/sand. The oversized gear I have left over from re potting. I once read a post [Shibui I think] who said you are going to have to cut the roots hard one day to fit into a Bonsai Pot ,so better the disappointment now then latter. I now stick to this policy and therefor cut pretty hard. Normal after care ,dappled light, spraying foliage, and keeping mix moist at all times in the first few weeks. Sometimes they will drop a lot of leaves but thy seem to be a pretty tough Tree and most come back This works for me ,well most of the time...
