Do U know this native
hi, i found this native just outside our boundry fence. Do U know what the name of this native, if so what is the name of it . Also how do i go about digging it out as it looks like a sucker. The looks of the other plants in the ground, i see surface roots leading to other bushes. hope someone may know it as i like the look of this very much.

It is a native hop bush Dodonaea sp. (no relation to real hops). It is not long lived as a tree/bush but might live longer as abonsai. There are millions of them around here.
Fairly easy to transplant when young.

Thanks fly, i knew if any one, you'd be the person to know.
I beleive you are right as i have looked up Dodonaea viscosa. All the pictures and info match. I will look forward to seeing your progress in layering it. I also may do the same. thank you also to the rest of you for your help.
