Here we have Alyxia buxifolia. It is a local native which grows along the coast line here in Perth. Being a coastal species I'm not sure how well it will take to bonsai culture, however with a common name like 'Sea Box' I recon I should give it a go.
It has tiny white flowers in spring and yellow/red berries during summer.
I propagated this plant from cuttings over a year ago. I aim to keep in an informal upright direction, but you never know what will happen. I feel like this could be an interesting experiment, as I haven't heard of anyone attempting this one yet.
