I'm not much of a photographer, but I do like playing around with the faux depth of field on my phone. Sorry if these offend anyone!

Not sure how these photos could offend - lovely stuff. I previously had an SLR, then Digital SLR ... nearly went mirrorless ... nearly went dedicated macro lens ... now use old phone ... soon will upgrade to phone with better camera .... won’t be as good as dedicated camera but it’ll suffice for me and ease of use will compensate for quality. I find phones great for bonsai.

I have a DSLR in a cupboard somewhere... I know just enough to be dangerous. Every now and then I get all inspired and dig it out, charge the battery, fiddle with some settings and try to take a bunch of masterpieces. Like most things in life the grand vision in my head doesn't quite translate to reality so back in the cupboard it goes!

God, it's so beautiful! I just have no words !. Although I have almost such an ee bonsai, but I do not know how to photograph him! I envy you!))

In my opinion the greatest aesthetic feature of a Euc is the fresh trunk during bark peel, after its been drenched wet.
The colours are amazing.
