(NATURAL ) Kunzea Ambigua. Boom64.
These Kunzeas were collected at the same time as the Darwinia. Surprisingly these have not been as good ,all still alive some in better conditions than others. I will persevere and hope for the best , it will be interesting to see how many survive the journey. Cut back pretty hard to get into container. Sorry about the amount of photos .Looking forward to the variety of trees and styles we will see in the next two years. Cheers John.

Re: (NATURAL ) Kunzea Ambigua. Boom64.
Eventually got most of them in, not enough room for a couple of smaller ones. Lost a few on the right side ,surprised I did not loose more as I went very hard on the roots .All up I have twelve trees to work with, thankfully the four taller ones survived. Trimmed a few branches as I planted each tree, have wired a few of the thicker trunks but that's about all. Growth has been good of late so will begin branch selection soon. John.

If you keep this up John, we’ll tag you the ‘kunzea king.’
Another entry I’ll enjoy watching.
I love a good group planting.

Loving this ... for obvious reasons. Gotta love a group or forest.
Tending bonsai teaches me patience.

Re: (NATURAL ) Kunzea Ambigua. Boom64.
Have had a bit of bad luck with this one. Lost the two biggest Trees and two smaller ones ,not a good start. Was not planning on using the tree on the far left and the far right but this might change at repotting time. Only time will tell with this one , at least it is pushing new growth.
Cheers John.

Hi Anthony ,all four were growing well and turned there toes up together. Suspected Curl Grubs, had a scratch around but found nothing. A strange one, a bit disappointing loosening the two tallest ones. At this rate I might not make the end of the comp...John.

Re: (NATURAL ) Kunzea Ambigua. Boom64.
Another update. This has been a real struggle as it lost a lot of foliage in autumn. Bad reaction to some fertilizer i regularly use. Strange.. Starting to spring into life ,have wired some more movement into the trunks ,still needs a little more. The branches are getting leaner and leaner as the comp progresses. Hopefully get it into a nice light thin pot to give it some balance. John.

Re: (NATURAL ) Kunzea Ambigua. Boom64.
Hi all another update on the forest. Have managed to get into a flatter pot .Wired most of the branches and tweaked the trunks. Slowly thinning the branches down. Aiming for a very tall whimsical forest . Still think it might need a little more foliage to be removed. Have ordered a pot so hopefully this will lighten the look. Have tried for a arty pic as well .Great watching al the updates come in . Cheers John.
