Fig Defoliation - Aftercare Position?

Post by Ryan1979b »

Hey all,

Just a quick question regarding my PJ fig defoliation. What is the ideal location for its after care, Currently it is located in a fairly wind protected are where it will receive direct sunlight from about 9am to 5pm. is this fine or is that to much sun. Usually my figs are in full sun for 90% of the day.

Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Ryan

Just keep it where you would normally keep it, the spot you have it in sounds fine to me.

Hi Ryan

Definitly OK where you have it. Aftercare is not necessary after defoiliation and you would normally leave it in its usual position. More sun the better as it will generate more shoots and the leaves will be strong and small.

Excellent, I might move it back to its original position, this way it will receive more sunlight. Also it will get a lot more morning sun and less afternoon sun :D

Cheers all for the advice. I'll post some photo's when it starts bouncing back.
