This is not a real tree. It is plastic with led lights.

I think death could be the outcome for the owner, not the tree, in this case!!

Cheers!

Bah, I wouldn't say this is worth the asking price. I actually achieved the same thing with a big crab apple of mine. 4 years ago I made thin cuts up the trunk to the branches (make sure it's deep into the cabmium), then I ran insulated waterproof wires INSIDE these cuts, connected them to little LEDs I had place drilled into the branches (50 LED's total). At the base of tree I have all the wires coming together into a little wire harness on the backside of the pot, then off to a 9V battery and little switch. 4 years later the cabmium has grown over the wires, you can't even tell, and in wintertime i set her outside, flick a switch and BING! It's gorgeous! So many people started coming to look at it that i had to start charging them to look at it. I came up with an hour long 'informational tour' of the tree, and that way I can justify a $45 ticket price. I give a free tea and bikkie after the tour though.

I estimate the whole LED, harness, switch cost was around $25 from dick smith.

I'm working on another idea that embeds party sparklers in the branch tips for a one-time firework party spectacular, or even small sprinkler hoses that run up inside the trunk to the branch tips so that the tree can water itself with the flick of a switch. I think it's the future.

Nature's by itself is just boring hey. Mankind makes EVERYTHING better!

Jozaeh

ps: Serously, hilarious find cuwire, I can't believe something like that even exists AND costs that much?! The branch styling, oh it's so painful to look at
