Mugo progress

Post by eliass »

Decided to put some work into one of my mugos.. Needed a different pot and some branch removal... Still feels like something's not right but I can't put my finger on it. Any thoughts?

Eliass, I think it's the angle of the bottom left hand branch.

It's a little too horizontal for me especially when I look at the new first branch on the right side.

I think, adding on to what Scott said, the crown branches also need to come down some. It needs a heap more wiring yet.

Personally, i can see a tree in it right now.

Some tweaking of the bends for visual pleasure perhaps but with time, I think the current branch placement and crown structure would work as a great 'tall' tree.

Look forward to seeing what you do with it.

Cheers,

Ces.

You have a nice Mugo there eliass. I agree with Bodhi about more wire. I think the quality of this tree will improve even better with more secondary branch wiring. It will give the tree more refinement and age. I do think the left branch is ok as it matches most of the rest of the tree. It seems like the first right one has an angle that doesn't fit with the others. If you lower the secondaries and raise the end of the branch you should get a nice layer there.

Keep it up :tu2:
