For sale at the forthcoming Ausbonsai sale day is this taxodium distichum.
From memory I purchased it about 35 years ago as nursery stock that had had some field growing, took it home and chopped the top off of the current height of the Shari.. A few years later the apex had grown and I turned the tree around to what was then the rear of the tree and hollowed it out. Since then it has grown nicely and the Shari was fe cut a few times but mot needed any longer as the growth has finally slowed down.
Height 101cm
Width 88cm
Depth 75cm
It has been a frequent show tree including the AABC Convention in Sydney at which Kimura was the guest artist.

If I had the money I'd pay $5000 for that in a second. Sadly, I have 2 kids and a huge mortgadge, but that is absolutely beautiful.

One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

Re: [SELL] Big old Swamp Cypress
I will regret losing the tree and the pot as well; the pot is a beauty.
I need more space to get on with more trees.
