About a month ago I pruned my Stone pine Pinus pinea. I do this every year, this time however we went into a heat wave of high 30s low to medium 40s.
Got a bit worried, but have noticed new buds all over so it looks good.
Should be good in a couple of months.
So I thought you might like a look.

A little "get out of jail free" on this one Pup. Lucky escape. I know how difficult these are to develop so a BIG well done on your structure.

Hi Pup,
had the same experience with a cedar, nothing as mature as yours, but thought it was a goner after the heat. Shortly after the heat noticed the tree start yellowing and needles started dropping. Very relieved to see buds, looks like it will recover.
Melbourne weather is crazy...
