fuschia and azalia

everyone
since i cant get out i decided to clean up my fuschia any thoughts besides thickening
it is in flower now so i cant do much also i have included a couple of azalia's the first one has a trunk thickness
of 25 mm the second is about 30 mm

Hi Dean

Like your Sao-To-Me's mate. Need to clean out a trunk line by removing the heavy side branches. 1st not so bad but the 2nd is more of a challenge and more time will be needed.

As for the Fuschia, sorry, but let it grow and thicken.

i know the fuschia needs to grow and thicken but you know what kids are like
my daughter is as impatient as me i told her about 8 times we need to leave it in the big
pot but she has it over me with her big brown eyes

and with the azalia the reason i put it on here was to see it someone could mark out
where to cut as i did my sao to me and i think i went over board and it is cut so much
i dont have no green on it yet i cut from 20 cm high to a 7 cm high it has got a few
little green bits now but i think i over done it

Hi Dean

I understand where you are coming from mate. If your daughter wants to start on the fuschia, you could prune the lowest branch off on the left, but tell her that she needs to wait till it stops flowering before anything else can be done.

I would put some lines on the azaleas for you but every time I try to save them to do it they save as bitmap file and will not come back on to AB. The first one I would prune the 2 low main branches of now and seal them, but if your getting cold soon I would leave it at that. Looks like you have an interesting centre trunk there with movement, but hard to tell with the photo. Likewise the second one I would prune the opposing heavy branches to leave the 2 central ones for now and let them both grow till spring.

i will inform my daughter about the fuschia and trimming the left branch when flowers drop
but with the azalia's they are starting to flower again so i will have to wait for that now arrrrr
everything wants to flower on me at this moment but i will repot in bigger pots then cut them back
when finished flowering

You can still prune them now even if flowering as the sap is flowing strong and they will grow strong. Just means you will lose flowers. As long as your daughter lets you.

ummmmm my daughter bites worse than my dog so i think i will let it be for a while

well it is tommorrow and i aint done nothing to the fuschia ot the azalia but i will after lunch
when i wake up abit from taking pain killers what i intend on doing is cutting the
left lower branch off on the fuschia and working out a trunk line with the azalia's
