SYDNEY BONSAI SPECTACULAR

For the last four or so years the Sydney Bonsai Spectacular has been arranged by about ten Sydney bonsai societies and held at Merrylands RSL Club.

This year the set up was improved but again the lighting was not to the required standard for an event with such good bonsai on display. The quality of the bonsai was the best in all the years that this event has been staged and was complimented by good stands and good quality and appropriate accent plantings.

This exhibition has a great number of stands selling everything associated with the art of bonsai and it is a great opportunity to add a tree, pot, tools or anything else bonsai related to your collection.

With the location and the lighting it is almost impossible to take a reasonable photo of the bonsai on display however here are a few bonsai from the exhibition and I hope you enjoy them.

I was a great admirer of the Japanese Larch, unfortunately the top of the tree was above the backing which distracted from the overall impact of a very good bonsai.
